MONASH’S young professionals have a stylish new place to call home.

Communal rooftop spaces at the Brightwood Monash development come complete with teppanyaki boards, IT stations and day beds to enjoy while mingling with the neighbours.

Landscaped promenades and established gardens will welcome residents when they return home from work, which could be just across the street for many.

“We’re very close to Monash University — it’s literally a minute or two from the site — so there’s been strong demand from a range of students, as well as lecturers and professors,” said Three Sixty Property Group director Evan Cathcart.

“And also Monash is a large business hub so a lot of young professionals, nurses and young graduate doctors have purchased in the first stage as well.”

Two four-level towers of about 60 apartments and a separate 26 townhouses make up the project from NX Property Group and architect Mushan Projects at 1 Renver Rd, Clayton.

One-bedroom apartments range in size from 45 to 55sq m internally and 9 to 33sq m externally. They are priced from $360,000 to $410,000.

Two-bedroom apartments range in size from 62 to 76sq m internally and 9 to 18sq m externally. They are priced from $470,000 to $575,000.

Most are based around an
open-plan kitchen, living and dining hub and all finished with neutral hues with accents of honey elm and stone.

There are also larger two, three and four-bedroom townhouses ranging in size from 107 to 174sq m and priced from $595,000 to $935,000.

Stainless-steel Bosch appliances are included in all residences.

With the first half sold out since launching in August, Mr Cathcart said the group was preparing for the second stage to hit the market in the near future.

“There aren’t a lot of developments like this in the area, particularly not of this style, so it’s groundbreaking for the area,” he said.

Work  is for completion by late 2018.
